Lucas Philip Tindall was born on Sunday, March 21, weighing 8lbs 4oz. The new baby’s father revealed the circumstances of the newborn’s arrival in his podcast The Good, the Bad and the Rugby, saying, “Arrived very quickly. Didn’t make it to hospital. On the bathroom floor. So yeah, it was running to the gym, get a mat, get into the bathroom, get the mat on the floor, towels down—brace, brace, brace!” The couple already have two children, Mia (7) and Lena (2.) 39-year-old Zara is the daughter of Princess Anne and Captain Mark Phillips. Her best friend Dolly Maude helped deliver Lucas at the Tindall’s ‘palatial’ home in Gatcombe Park. A trained maternity nurse, she was also present at the births of the couple’s other children and was Zara’s maid of honor at her wedding to Mike in 2011. Lucas is 22nd in line to the throne, with the queen and Prince Philip saying they are “delighted” with the news and that they look forward to meeting him “when circumstances allow.” Like Princess Eugenie’s new baby August Philip Hawke, who was born on February 9, Lucas’s full name includes a tribute to 99-year-old Prince Philip, who recently returned home after a month spent in hospital during which he underwent a heart procedure.
