Who was eliminated on The Amazing Race in week 1?
Michael Norwood and Armonde “Moe” Badger - Singing police officers
The boys in blue were left feeling blue by the end of their time in London. Singing police officers Michael and Moe were able to stay in tune with the rest of the teams in the beginning of the first leg. But their failure to have attention to detail during a graffiti Detour ended up being their undoing. When their cab driver gave them wrong directions to their last clue, that spelled their doom. As for Leg 2, no one was eliminated! Though twins Lulu and Lala Gonzalez came in last, host Phil Keoghan surprised them with a clue, telling them they would keep racing. The ten remaining teams will head to Scotland in the next episode, the final leg before filming took a hiatus of over a year and a half.
Which teams finished at the top in week 1?
In the first leg, childhood friends Anthony Sadler and Spencer Stone took the very first first-place victory of the season. They were closely followed by best friends Ryan Ferguson and Dusty Harris, as the two pairs of men had been closely battling for the gold the entire leg. Not too far behind were flight attendants Raquel Moore and Cayla Platt. Though Ryan and Dusty didn’t hit the mat first in the first leg, they were able to make good on the second. They took off from the very beginning and didn’t let up. They didn’t see any other teams during their dominance of the London daytime leg. Married couple Connie Griener and Sam Greiner and father/daughter team Arun Kumar and Natalia Kumar came in second and third, respectively, both surging from the middle to the top of the pack thanks to some choice dart throws.
Which teams finished at the bottom in week 1?
It was a tough night for Lulu and Lala overall. In the first leg, the twins got lost on the way to one of their first destinations, putting them on the backfoot. They persisted, and luckily passed Michael and Moe at the very last second to survive elimination. Unfortunately their London misfortunes continued the next day. They struggled to catch up to the rest of the pack, and even got into conflict when Lala worried Lulu was getting too negative. Luckily their stormy day cleared up when they were spared once more and told to keep racing.
