“Ye’s recent comments and actions have been unacceptable, hateful, and dangerous, and they violate the company’s values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness,” the company added in a statement posted on the website. “After a thorough review, the company has taken the decision to terminate the partnership with Ye immediately, end production of Yeezy branded products, and stop all payments to Ye and his companies. Adidas will stop the Adidas Yeezy business with immediate effect.” According to Fortune, the sportswear brand cutting ties with Ye made a hefty dent in his net worth, effectively revoking him of his billionaire status. In response, fans were quick to start up multiple GoFundMe pages to restore his billions, according to AllHipHop, including one page declaring their goal to “Make Kanye West a Billionaire Again.” The page has since been taken down. According to PageSix, multiple people have been linking to their own GoFundMe pages, asking to make them billionaires instead of Ye. This isn’t the first time fans have made a GoFundMe for the Donda artist. Back in 2016, a fan created a fundraising page to raise $53 million for the Grammy winner, after he had claimed he was in debt for that amount. The fan crowdsourced $57,398 but ended up donating it to music charity Notes for Notes after Ye declined the funds. More News:
